Delete your account
How to delete your True Library account and your library's data, what is erased, and how long it takes.
How to delete your account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app. It takes about a minute.
- Sign in as the library owner.
- Open Settings → Account.
- Choose Delete account permanently at the bottom of the page.
- Tell us why you are leaving, enter your password, and confirm.
Only the library owner can do this, because it deletes the whole library — staff accounts are removed by the owner from Settings → Staff.
What happens next
- Straight away: auto-renewal is stopped, so you are never charged again, and you are signed out on every device. Nothing is deleted yet.
- For the next 7 days: your account is untouched. If you sign in again during this time, the deletion is cancelled automatically and you keep everything.
- After 7 days: if you have not signed in, the account and all of its data are deleted permanently. This cannot be undone, and support cannot restore it.
The wait exists for one reason: so that a deletion nobody meant to make — a wrong click, or somebody else at your keyboard — can be undone by simply signing in.
What is deleted
Everything the account holds, across every branch:
- your login, your name, email and phone number, and every staff login in the account;
- every student record — name, contact details, photo, documents and ID proofs;
- seats, shifts, plans and pricing;
- fees, payments, invoices and receipts recorded inside your library;
- attendance history, study-time records and attendance photos;
- lockers, expenses, reminders, holidays and every setting;
- your library's public page, branch website and QR codes, which stop working immediately;
- uploaded files — your logo, documents and attachments.
Your students lose access to the student portal as soon as the deletion completes.
What we keep, and why
One thing is not deleted, and it is not your library's data: the record of what you paid True Library — your subscription invoices and payment entries, with the account holder's name and contact details on them. Accounting and tax rules require a business to keep its financial records, so these stay in our books for as long as the law asks and are never used for anything else. They are not visible to anyone but us, and no part of your library's own data is kept with them.
If you cannot sign in
Use forgot password to get back in, and then follow the steps above.
If you still cannot reach your account, email us at anand44yadav@gmail.com from the email address the account uses, and ask us to delete it. We verify that the request comes from the account holder before anything is deleted.
If you are a student
Students do not have an account with us — you sign in to your library's student portal with the PIN your library gives you, and your records belong to that library. Ask your library to remove your record; when they do, or when they delete their own account, everything about you goes with it.
